Luke Shaw’s resurgence narrative has gained him a call-up to the tournament and according to Chelsea defender Reece James, he has struck off the pitch as well.
Shaw is often the subject of banter due to his frame, but the former Southampton full-back’s shrewd figure has helped him recover his career after a neverending downwards spiral.
Luke Shaw, yeah,” James told the Lions’ Den when asked who the strongest player in the camp is. “I think they’re [Mings and Maguire] definitely strong but Luke is a beast, he’s a brick.”
Shaw, who made his first competitive appearance for England in seven years last week, is said to have built strong connections with his new teammates after spending several years out of the England squad.

Former Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho revealed ‘it was not easy’ for Luke Shaw when the pair worked together at Old Trafford.
Mourinho was United manager for two and a half seasons, winning the EFL Cup and Europa League in 2017 before being fired 18 months later after a challenging start to the 2018/19 season.
Defender Shaw was publicly criticised on numerous occasions, something Mourinho claims was to improve his mentality.
Luke Shaw has hinted that his Manchester United teammates were on his side during his strife with former manager Jose Mourinho.
The left-back has now improved from that difficult time and, following another powerful Red Devils campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s stewardship, he is now part of the England squad at this summer’s Euro 2020 and receiving plaudits alike.
