Real Madrid players in panic as they fear Zinedine Zidane could resign.

Real Madrid players are said to have concerns that their coach Zinedine Zidane is drained and disappointed at the club and could opt to step down at the end of the summer.
Zidane has left Real once before, quitting on a high after the 2018 Champions League final and affirming his belief that he felt the squad needed new leadership to remain prosperous.
However, Real Madrid strived in his absence and the club’s president Florentino Perez convinced the Frenchman to return to the helm less than 10 months later. He then went on to win La Liga in his first full season back, profiting from Barcelona’s side that recorded its lowest La Liga tally in 12 years.
But Real currently are in need of a squad overhaul. They are still massively reliant on a number of aging stars that were fundamental to Zidane’s Champions League victories, with current fringe players arguably not up to the same level and finances making transfer investment hard.

Goal cites consultations with a number of players to claim that there is an agreement that a replacement of manager will happen sooner rather than later.
It is said there is a perception within the club that Zidane has ‘grown tired’ of attempting to deal with matters that are arising out of his control. Injuries and a congested fixture list are two such disappointments given, as well as having to contend with all off the coronavirus rules in place for over a year.
It is said that while Zidane fancies being at the club and leading coaching sessions, the safety standards in place have killed some of the ‘fun factor’ and he has grown ‘bored’ with the daily cycle.
With Real’s finances badly hit by the Coronavirus pandemic, perhaps explaining Perez’s insight to promote the money-laden European Super League idea, the kind of player sales and new signings required to rebuild the squad may not be feasible, even though it had been expected in the Bernabeu hierarchy that new additions, such as Kylian Mbappe, might persuade Zidane to stay on.
