Real Madrid eye summer move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland
Real Madrid are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of Manchester City’s Erling Braut Haaland in the upcoming summer transfer window, as per the Independent.
The Spanish club is looking to bolster their team with young and accomplished players for the next season, considering their aging squad is currently struggling.
Haaland is seen as a suitable replacement for 35-year-old Karim Benzema. While Real Madrid had previously expressed interest in Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe, they seem to have shifted their focus now.
Mbappe had been linked with a transfer to Madrid last summer but decided to remain with his current club in Ligue 1.
Real Madrid are considering making a bid for Erling Braut Haaland, despite the Norwegian striker having made a significant impact at Manchester City since joining the club last summer.
Haaland’s impressive record of 27 goals and five assists in 25 Premier League games, as well as six goals in nine games across other competitions, has caught the attention of the Spanish club.
While Haaland is content at Manchester City, the prospect of playing for a club with Real Madrid’s Champions League track record could be alluring.
