‘Ready to play’: Stellini claims ‘top-class’ Tottenham player is now fit and raring to go today
The coach of Tottenham Hotspur, Cristian Stellini, has announced that Emerson Royal is fit to play against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Despite missing the team’s FA Cup game against Sheffield United due to a minor problem, the right wing-back is now fully recovered and ready to play.
Stellini assured SPURSPLAY that Emerson’s injury was not serious.
“Emerson is fine,” said the Spurs assistant manager. “It was only a small problem, and he trained the day after.
“We left him at home but he’s ready to play tomorrow.
“We have the same squad we had for the last games and only the long period injured players we’re not ready to use, the others are available.”
Rodrigo Bentancur, Yves Bissouma, Hugo Lloris, and Ryan Sessegnon are still unable to play due to their injuries.
Fortunately, Emerson Royal’s recent injury was not a major concern, which is positive news.
Emerson has shown significant improvement in the past few weeks and is finally demonstrating his true potential.
For a while, Emerson had a tough time at Spurs and was rumored to be leaving the club in January.
Emerson is the sole right wing-back who began the year at N17 and remained there until February, as it transpired.
However, he has been putting in exceptional performances lately, and his future with Tottenham appears more secure. Graham Roberts commended his display against Chelsea last week, describing him as “top-class.”
With Spurs aiming to secure a top-four position, we anticipate seeing many more outstanding performances from Emerson in the coming weeks.
