Rashford reacts as Djokovic mimics Manchester United star’s signature celebration

Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, said nice things about Novak Djokovic after he won the Australian Open.

Stefanos Tsitsipas was beaten by the Serb in straight sets. This was the Serb’s 22nd Grand Slam win, and he celebrated by pointing to his head like a Manchester United player.

Some other athletes, like cricketer Jofra Archer and footballers Joshua Kimmich and Danny Welbeck, have also tried to copy the Three Lions star. His signature celebration is starting to catch on.

Rashford was quick to post on Instagram after Djokovic won. He put a picture of the 35-year-old along with the GOAT emoji on his story.

Rashford has scored 18 goals in 30 games for Erik ten Hag’s team. Last season, the United forward scored only 5 goals in all competitions, but it’s clear that he’s having a great time under the Dutchman.

He will be hoping to keep up his good form when United play Crystal Palace next Saturday to start their Premier League season.

Before that, United will play Nottingham Forest in the second leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final, but with three goals already in the bank, Rashford may get a well-deserved break.
