Ranking of Premier League’s eco-friendly fan base, big-name clubs drop down the table while smaller rivals surpass them

Leicester City fans can take solace in the fact that they have been named the greenest fan base in England, despite the fact that they are unlikely to repeat their fairy tale footballing heroics of 2016.

In order to crown a sustainable champion, a survey of 100 fans from each club in the top flight was conducted by the sun, with questions ranging from recycling and reducing energy waste to how they travel.

However, with Leicester City coming out on top, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur, and Brighton rounded out the top four.

Rivals Liverpool and Manchester United secured the league’s final two European qualification spots.

However, some of the traditional ‘big six’ finished in the middle of the pack, with Arsenal, Manchester City, and Chelsea finishing ninth, tenth, and thirteenth, respectively.

Leeds, Wolves, and newly promoted Nottingham Forest are facing relegation to the bottom three.
