Ranked: 10 Clubs with the highest valuation in world football
In terms of squad value, the English Premier League is now the undisputed leader in European football.
According to a study conducted by the Swiss-based CIES Football Observatory, if Man City sold their entire squad, they would receive the highest return.
The Observatory estimated that Pep Guardiola’s squad could fetch €1.28 billion ($1.48 billion) in transfer fees using their own algorithm. City spent heavily to assemble their squad, putting them in the lead in the event of a squad sale. To name a few, Phil Foden, Jack Grealish, and Kevin de Bruyne would be in high demand.
In the analysis, Manchester United comes in second place. It should come as no surprise, especially with names like Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, and Harry Maguire on the market.
According to the projections, Chelsea completes the top three. Surprisingly, Paris Saint-superstar Germain’s squad ranks eighth with €808 million ($940 million). Neymar, Kylian Mbappe, and Lionel Messi would undoubtedly take the lion’s share of that pie.
