Pundit ready to offer £5m for under-fire Tottenham ‘liability’ to leave Conte’s side

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O’Hara has stated that he is willing to spend £5 million of his own money to get Emerson Royal to leave the club.

After being sent off in the north London derby against rivals Arsenal last weekend, O’Hara dubbed the Brazilian full-back a “liability.”

Emerson was shown a straight red card for a foul on Gabriel Martinelli with the game in the balance and Mikel Arteta’s side leading 2-1, before Granit Xhaka scored for the Gunners five minutes after Spurs were reduced to ten men.

O’Hara believes Emerson is “costing” the Spurs and has offered to pay another team to sign him.

“I would pay someone to take him off our hands,” O’Hara told talkSPORT. “I ain’t got a lot in my bank but I’d give you £5m to get rid of this liability, because he is costing us every week.”

O’Hara took to social media after Emerson’s red card against Arsenal, claiming that his challenge “killed” Spurs’ chances of getting a result at the Emirates.

“Royal with cheese has killed us don’t deserve anything from this,” O’Hara tweeted.

“Arsenal battered us, some of these players need a word with themselves, thrown the towel in now #spurs.”
