Pundit claims that Liverpool has a player who is not being given the credit he deserves

Rio Ferdinand has claimed  has claimed on his YouTube channel that Mohamed Salah is not given enough credit, claiming that the Liverpool star has it all.

At the weekend, Salah accomplished yet another major feat. The Egyptian’s goal in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Brentford was his 100th for the Reds in the Premier League.

Only two Liverpool players have more than Salah in fewer games.

Meanwhile, only four players have scored 100 goals for a single Premier League club faster.

Only Thierry Henry, Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane, and Alan Shearer are ahead of him.

Of course, it should not be forgotten that Salah is not even a traditional central striker, as opposed to those who reached the century a little faster.

Ferdinand was asked if Salah is given the credit he deserves. He went on to say that no Liverpool attacker in Premier League history ranks higher than the 29-year-old.

“No. We need to do a whole segment on Salah not getting the attention, the time, the talk, the focus which he deserves,” he told his YouTube channel when asked if Salah gets the appreciation he deserves.

“Go and watch Salah and what he does. He dominates and destroys top level players on a regular basis. He makes the game look easy, he makes football look easy. When a player’s doing that at the speed at which he plays, that tells you they’re high level. Numbers, trophies don’t lie. Salah has it all.”

Salah, as Ferdinand points out, has cemented his place among the Premier League’s all-time greats.

Ferdinand made no hesitation in putting the forward ahead of Luis Suarez. And he clearly believes that he should be receiving a lot more love from other people.

Salah’s signing by Liverpool was easily one of the best business decisions made by a Premier League club in recent years.

Four years ago, they paid £34 million for him (via BBC Sport). It’s terrifying to think about what they could ask for him now.
