Presnel Kimpembe to take “decisive” steps in response to Chelsea’s interest with  Thiago Silva’s call

Could Presnal Kimpembe solve Chelsea’s problem of finding a new center-back?

There have been varied reactions to this, but it appears that Thomas Tuchel and Thiago Silva would welcome a reunion with the Frenchman.

Chelsea’s pursuit of French defenders has peaked. With a deal for Jules Kounde nearing completion, there are still a lot of openings in the Chelsea defence.

The departures of Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger, as well as the expected departures of Cesar Azpilicueta and Marcos Alonso, have put the Blues in a bind.

They are searching the transfer market in search of the ideal fit for their defence.

I suppose it would be criminal, at the very least, to consider the prospect of Thomas Tuchel being reunited with a defender with whom he is already acquainted.

I’m not opposed to the idea. The man who could have replaced Thiago Silva is more than likely capable of establishing a positive reputation at Stamford Bridge.

Presnel Kimpembe, Matthijs de Ligt, and Jules Kounde are among the defenders on Chelsea’s wish list, according to journalist Christian Falk.

It’s not surprising, given that Chelsea has previously been connected with the Frenchman.

L’Equipe stated last year that Kimpembe was eager to leave PSG for a new challenge.

Chelsea was eyeing the prospect, and with Thomas Tuchel involved, their reunion might happen soon.

The 26-year-old joined PSG as a ten-year-old and has been in good company since becoming a permanent member of their first squad.

He was following in the footsteps of Thiago Silva, who played alongside Marquinhos.

He’s now worth £36 million, which, if negotiated, could be a total steal.

He has two years left on his contract, and with huge changes occurring within PSG’s structure and administration, he is prepared to make a final decision.

Kimpembe stated earlier this month that he will meet with PSG’s new management to discuss the club’s plans for him.

His worries were not addressed positively. He did, however, justify his remarks before of France’s Nations League encounter against Croatia.

“I said that I was reaching 27 years of age and that my next contract would be decisive,” Kimpembe said at a press conference while on international duty with France.

“I want to be able to know what the project of the club will look like. I didn’t say anything wrong.

“I joined the club when I was nine or 10 years old. I think it’s a legitimate question to ask my club about the future project and what role I am going to be given.”

Chelsea supporters are eager to find a new center-back who can compete with Thiago Silva.

However, they are unable to envision a suitable replacement for Antonio Rudiger.

What about the man who took Silva’s place at PSG in the first place? The Brazilian is said to have contacted Kimpembe directly.

According to French journalist Olivier Bossard, Kimpembe has received “a few text messages” from Silva in order to “sell” him on the Chelsea proposal.

With Antonio Rudiger out, adding Presnel Kimpembe makes perfect sense. The World Cup winner could be the missing element Chelsea is looking for right now.

The Blues could find a replacement for Rudiger elsewhere, but finding a reliable successor for Thiago Silva will be far more difficult in the future.

There aren’t many possibilities for left-sided center-backs on the market right now. If Tuchel intends to preserve the three-man defence, a close match to what he has already worked with is critical.

A player who knows Tuchel’s philosophy. Who knows what it’s like to play for a big club under enormous pressure, and who has already learned from our own Thiago Silva.

It would be immoral not to consider Kimpembe, especially if de Ligt is unable to move to west London.
