Premier League superstar set to be announced as Manchester City’s third signing of the summer
Manchester City have already signed offensive combo Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez for the next season.
The pair are fantastic additions to Pep Guardiola’s already devastating attacking force, but the Manchester City boss isn’t stopping there.
Despite winning the Premier League, Guardiola will definitely want to win a Champions League with the club, and they may be on the verge of announcing the signing of Brighton defender Marc Cucurella.
According to ElDesmarque, Manchester City could announce the signing of Cucurella next week if a deal to bring the Spanish left-back to the club is reached.
Cucurella only joined Brighton at the start of last season, but the young defender has quickly adapted to the English game, and he might fit Manchester City’s style perfectly.
When playing in a Guardiola system, his full-backs are needed to do minimal defence for the most of their Premier League games.
Signing Cucurella would also allow Joao Cancelo to return to right-back, so the Spanish international would be a terrific addition to the English champions.
