Piers Morgan tells Arsenal to do two things to win the Premier League

Piers Morgan has urged Arsenal to buy two “world-class” players during the January transfer window in order to win the Premier League title.

With a victory versus Wolves, Mikel Arteta’s squad would spend the World Cup at the top of the table for the first time since 2007 and five points ahead of Manchester City

After a spectacular first half of the season, Arsenal hopes to win its first league championship in 19 years this year.

Gabriel Jesus, Martin Odegaard, and Aaron Ramsdale have all contributed significantly to the club’s success over the past two seasons.

Morgan, though, who has frequently criticized Arteta, believes that the Gunners need to add to their roster.

In the January transfer window, the broadcaster has urged that the club’s owners, the Kroenkes, “bring the checkbook out.” He feels the arrival of two exceptional players will be sufficient for Arsenal to win its first title since 2004.

“Top of the Premier League… 5pts clear.. Arteta’s process now fully trusted… players & fans united… this is our time again, @Arsenal. Now need the Kroenkes to get the chequebook out in January & buy big. Two more world class players & we’ll be Champions again,” Morgan tweeted.

Odegaard scored twice as the Gunners secured a vital victory at Wolves, allowing them to capitalize on City’s loss to Brentford. They now have a five-point lead over Pep Guardiola’s squad heading into the World Cup break.

However, with 24 games remaining once the Premier League resumes, Arteta wants to keep his team focused on the task at hand. And he insisted that his team will take things one game at a time once they resumed competition.

“It’s great to be where we are. We are enjoying that moment, and we have a big break. We have to reflect on what we are doing, and be very much prepared for what is going to come after the World Cup,” he said.

“But, our aim is to play better as a team every single day; to have better tools to do what we want to do on that pitch. I can say that it has been phenomenal to work with these players and staff.

“When a team is in that moment, you want to carry on playing obviously, but it is not possible. We have to use the time now in the best possible way so the players who are not participating in the World Cup, they will have some time off, which they fully deserve.

“And the rest fulfil a dream that every kid has had, when they had a chance to represent their national team in a World Cup. Obviously, nobody expected us to be where we are right now and the amount of games that we have managed to win, but I am more focused on our way of playing.”
