Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang responds to Arsenal fan message after Chelsea defeat
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who plays as a forward for Chelsea, has replied to an Arsenal supporter who expressed empathy towards him, following criticism from fans for his performance during the match against Arsenal on Tuesday evening.
The Gabonese forward, Aubameyang, returned to the Emirates Stadium this week for the first time since departing the club under unpleasant circumstances.
He was removed from his role as the team captain and permitted to transfer to Barcelona due to a falling-out with Mikel Arteta.
Aubameyang subsequently signed with Chelsea, but his experience at Stamford Bridge has been unpleasant after Thomas Tuchel’s dismissal.
During his comeback game at the Emirates Stadium, Aubameyang faced taunts from the audience and was subjected to online ridicule after being replaced at halftime with Arsenal leading 3-0.
Additionally, he had only nine touches of the ball in the first 45 minutes, equating to an average of once every five minutes, which made matters worse for him.
However, Aubameyang has retained some supporters among Arsenal fans, as one Twitter user took to the platform to defend him.
“Always positive, almost lost his mother, caught malaria, toxic end at Arsenal, went to Barca and got his house robbed, now gone to Chelsea and not playing at all. Was made fun of at Stamford Bridge by our players and now booed by fans that he loved,” the tweet read.

The tweet gained popularity and was shared on an Instagram account. In response, Aubameyang left a comment on the post, asserting that he had little control over many of the incidents that had taken place in recent years.
“You know sometimes people forget what’s the real life and forget about how you can’t control what’s happened,” commented Aubameyang.
After leaving his comment, Aubameyang added the ‘pray’ emoji. Reports suggest that the striker is likely to be released by Chelsea at the conclusion of the current season and is considering returning to Barcelona.
