Chelsea pulled off an inspiring triumph over Premier League pacesetters Manchester City on the weekend, and during the triumph, Reece James left Pep Guardiola dumbfounded.
Pep Guardiola gave an inestimable feeling to Reece James’ brilliant piece of play against his team.
James and his Chelsea teammates defeated Premier League leaders Manchester City away from home on Saturday, a 2-1 win courtesy to goals from Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso.
The win saw The Blues move into the third spot and put them in a dominant position in the race to finish in the top four, now six points clear of West Ham in fifth and seven ahead of Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
The triumph also meant Cityzens had to wait to win the Premier League title with three more points that required City to cross the line.
It was a disappointing evening for City, who fumbled a penalty that would have seen them retake the lead, and they also felt they should have won a penalty before Chelsea’s winner when Raheem Sterling was taken down.

But Chelsea got the work done, and with a little technique, too, or at least in the case of full-back and flying star James.
During the match, James pulled off a neat touch to beat Benjamin Mendy on the touchline before showing his speed to burst away and leave his challenger eating his dust, so to speak.
And just steps away, City manager Guardiola couldn’t buy what he was seeing from Mendy, throwing out his arms in frustration before squatting down to the floor in unbelief.
That’s not the kind of response any player wants to draw from his manager, but it’s exactly what James will have been looking for as he took on Mendy with ease.
James has been outstanding for Chelsea this summer, making the right-back role his own and largely managing to keep hold of it since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel with Cesar Azpilicueta playing as part of the three-man central defensive unit.
