Pep Guardiola shares his opinion on Arsenal next season under Mikel Arteta.

Man City manager Pep Guardiola anticipates Arsenal will extend their progress under Mikel Arteta with investment in the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola is in regular contact with Arsenal boss, who served as his right-hand man at the Etihad for about three-and-a-half years before riding on the Gunners hot seat in December 2019.
Arteta was an immediate hit in his first senior managerial role, guiding Arsenal to FA Cup honor within eight months of his assignment.
But his first full season in management was far less successful, with the Emirates club finishing eighth in the Premier League, meaning they failed to qualify for European competition for the first time in 25 years.
As reported by Mirror Football’s John Cross earlier this month, Arsenal directors will cling with Arteta for another term, backing him in the summer transfer window.
And Guardiola – who will lead City against Chelsea in Saturday’s Champions League final – has authenticated there will be arrivals in north London this season.
“I love the fact that nothing is for granted,” he told BT Sport .
“In two or three weeks I said ‘oh my god, next season’ – Liverpool is back, United is stronger every season and Arsenal is making a step forward and they will invest.”

Speaking earlier this month, Arteta suggested at multiple signings as he looks to provide sport for his current crop of stars.
He said: “Now we must find a different way to do it [get the best out of players].
“Challenging them again, putting somebody next to them to try to push them again.
“Some of them can get to a certain level and you cannot push any further. If you want to evolve that, it is not possible.
“When I said the majority I didn’t say all of them and some had some big contributions to make to those results.”
Guardiola’s remarks about Arsenal making “a step forward” under Arteta reverberate those he made in mid-May advocating clubs clinging by one manager.
“We [City] have ambition, because we sustain the success, sustain the work ethic and many things for a long, long time,” said Guardiola
“Of course, three in four years I never expected to be honest because I know how everything changes in this country but always we were there.
” Chelsea is not necessary what to say what’s going to be, Leicester … everybody says, ‘oh Leicester’ every season.
“Arsenal… they trust with Mikel because I know him perfectly, they will make a step forward next season.
“Many, many clubs, look at West Ham how good they play this season. Many clubs, that’s why it’s a massive achievement this season due to the massive contenders we had.”
