Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola will have desired to play any other team than Chelsea in the Champions League final, according to claims Michael Owen.
Man City and Chelsea are set to go head-to-head in the Chamipons League final just under three weeks after their respective progression through the semi-final stage last week.
City will be favorites heading into the final, notwithstanding Chelsea’s remarkable recent record against the Sky Blues.
Chelsea beat City 2-1 at the Etihad on Sunday to hold their Premier League title crowning.
Thomas Tuchel has now won both his games in charge of the Blues against Pep Guardiola’s team.

Owen has no reservations City are the best team in Europe but maintains Guardiola would have rather met any side but Chelsea in the final.
Owen told Premier League Productions: “Do you know what? I think Man City are the best team, probably the best club team in the world at the moment. Best team in Europe.
“But the problem is, sometimes you meet teams that are just very, very difficult and they just don’t suit you.
“And I think this Chelsea team are the most difficult team to play against at the moment.
