Pep Guardiola big fan of £70,000-a-week Chelsea star , Blues now worried
According to The Sun, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are interested in signing Mason Mount from Premier League rivals Chelsea.
According to the British tabloid, Chelsea are concerned that Mount may eventually join defending Premier League champions Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is said to be a “big fan” of the £70,000-a-week England international midfielder.
Chelsea are apparently concerned that Mount will be enticed by a hefty contract, particularly given the Blues’ present ownership problems.
Mount, in our opinion, is unlikely to leave Chelsea for Manchester City – or any other team – during the summer transfer window.
Chelsea is a large club, and while they have yet to find new owners, everything should be resolved in due course.
We however believe Mount would improve the city.
The 23-year-old is one of the Premier League’s greatest young midfielders and has been a standout for Chelsea throughout the years.
Mount is an excellent passer of the ball who can hold his own in the middle of the field and generates opportunities for his teammates.
This season, the Chelsea no. 19 has 10 goals and nine assists in the Premier League.
