Pedro Neto deal, Ivan Toney signs- Chelsea handed perfect alternative £82m Boehly transfer plan

Wesley Fofana, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, and Anthony Gordon appear to be on their way to Chelsea.

While the arrival of the Leicester City defender is highly anticipated, Todd Boehly has faced criticism from some Blues fans for targeting the Barcelona striker and the Everton winger.

According to football.london, the west Londoners made a £22 million bid for Aubameyang on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea are said to be very confident that the Spanish giants will accept their latest proposal.

Tuchel is eager to reunite with the Gabonese international, who thrived under Tuchel’s tutelage at Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, Chelsea are still in talks with the Toffees about signing Gordon.

According to The Athletic, the Blues have had three bids for Gordon’s services rejected in the region of £40 million, £45 million, and £60 million.

Boehly, Everton’s interim sporting director, is said to want to include a few players in any potential deal in order to get Everton’s full valuation.

As a result, if everything goes as planned, Chelsea could spend at least £82 million on Gordon and Aubameyang. However, for only £8 million more, Boehly could sign Pedro Neto and Ivan Toney in addition to Fofana…

Pedro Neto – £50million

Pedro Neto has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, but a move away from Molineux appears unlikely.

Nonetheless, Chelsea should pursue this deal instead of Gordon.

According to Portuguese outlet O’Jogo, the Gunners have ‘no chance’ of luring the 22-year-old away from Wolves, with Bruno Lage’s side keen to keep the forward for at least another season.

According to reports, Neto’s chances of moving this summer are “almost nil.”

According to Sun journalist Daniel Cutts, Wolves have set a £50 million asking price for Neto this summer. CIES football observatory, on the other hand, values him closer to €30 million (£25 million).

Ivan Toney – £40million

Chelsea are said to be vying with Manchester United and Everton for the signing of Ivan Toney as Tuchel looks to strengthen his frontline.

The 26-year-old striker has recently been heavily linked with a move away from Brentford, with Arsenal previously said to be leading the transfer race.

However, with Boehly looking for a talisman, the Blues appear set to sting Thomas Frank’s Premier League survival hopes.

Chelsea are weighing a bid for Toney, according to the Mirror, and the Bees are bracing themselves for offers before the summer transfer window closes.

According to the report, Tuchel may try to sign two number nines, with the west London club interested in signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

However, as things stand, the former Arsenal captain’s arrival appears more likely, even if Toney is better suited.

Though there is one factor that may tempt Chelsea to prioritize Toney over Aubameyang: the £40 million-rated striker has previously been compared to Didier Drogba by his Brentford teammates.
