Paul Pogba jokes that Manchester United should drop him from the starting XI.

United’s Paul Pogba has joked that Manchester United should drop him from the starting XI after it surfaced that the team has performed extremely well without his involvement this season.
Despite his influence in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side, the Red Devils surprisingly average more points per game when Pogba is absent on the pitch.
According to the statistics, the Old Trafford outfit average 2.2 points per game as opposed to 1.9 when Pogba plays.
This statistic was released by the French TV network Canal+, and the 28-year-old took that in good joke – reckoning that he believes he can improve the statistic when he starts.
“So you have to put me on the bench then!’ he said light-heartedly.
“I had not seen this statistic. If the team does better without me, I would totally understand that the coach would put me on the bench.
“It’s a good challenge for me anyway. I hope it turns to the other side. I hope people will win more with me than without me.”

United game against Liverpool was postponed after furious supporters broke into the stadium and invaded the pitch in a demonstration at club owners the Glazer family, while outside the ground bottles and barriers were thrown at police officers and horses.
Manchester United were among 12 clubs that last month approved the breakaway European Super League, which failed within 48 hours due to enormous, unrelenting pressure.
Those plans brought resentment against the already disliked Glazer family to a new level, with fans converging at both Old Trafford and the Lowry, the team hotel in the city center, to oblige change ahead of Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.
Police said that by late afternoon around 200 protesters had assembled outside the Lowry and over 1,000 at the stadium.
There was an initial unspecified delay to the scheduled 4.30 pm kick-off before confirmation came through from United at 5.35 pm that the match had been suspended ‘due to safety and security considerations around the protest’.
