Paul Pogba asking price revealed as Manchester United put him on sale.
According to reports by The Mirror (h/t The Express), Manchester United have placed a cost of just £55million on French superstar Paul Pogba going into the summer transfer period.
This is a significant hit on Pogba, who was signed for a club-record fee of £89m in 2016. The 28-year-old has a year remaining on his current contract and the Red Devils are compelled into making an early decision.
The Frenchman’s current situation has drawn attention from the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to keep the player at Old Trafford, but the United board do not certainly think the same way.
The priced amount is still massive holding the financial aftershocks of the coronavirus pandemic. Neither Juventus nor Real Madrid are in a position to spend big in the summer.

Italian giants Juventus also face an uphill struggle in their effort to qualify for next season’s Champions League. Missing out would further hurt their financial standing.
The United board is troubled with the player’s wage requirements and have thwarted at the £400,000-a-week package that he wants. Agreeing to it will present him as the highest-paid player at the club,
It is understood that the longer the negotiations are carried out, the more United will allow Pogba and his agent, Mino Raiola, the advantage. The possibility of losing him for free next year is a sobering prospect.
Just 28, the Pogba is in the prime of his career and is on his day one of the best players in world football. Losing him for nothing would be nothing short of a disaster.
