According to reports, Paris Saint-Germain have agreed to sign Chelsea attacker Hakim Ziyech on loan for the remainder of the season.

The salary of Ziyech is not an issue for financial powerhouses.

However, PSG and the French champions have fought tooth and nail to bring the former Ajax attacker to the club before the transfer deadline.

Talks had ostensibly stalled due to Chelsea’s alleged ‘greed,’ but Ziyech personally intervened to secure a deal, having already completed his medical in Paris.

Ziyech will join Christophe Galtier’s side on loan, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Romano adds that Ziyech’s transfer to the Parc des Princes does not include an option or obligation to purchase, and the attacker was only interested in a transfer to the Parc des Princes.

Ziyech will arrive in Paris as a short-term replacement for Pablo Sarabia, who signed a permanent deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this month.

The 29-year-old has recorded just one assist in 15 games for Chelsea this season, bringing his total for the Blues since joining from Ajax in 2020 to 14 goals and 11 assists.

Ziyech has a contract with Chelsea through 2025, and he will now compete with Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar for starting positions at PSG.
