Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thomas Partey, Nelson: Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of Aston Villa and Man United clash

Arsenal maintained their unblemished start to the Premier League season on Saturday evening, coming from behind to defeat Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Magalhaes scored to cancel out Aleksandar Mitrovic’s opener in north London.

The Gunners must now maintain their momentum against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening, before visiting Old Trafford over the weekend.

SportsDias  looks at the latest injuries in the Arsenal squad following their 2-1 win over the Cottagers ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Aston Villa.

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Zinchenko had appeared in every Premier League game for Arsenal since joining from Manchester City. He did, however, miss Arsenal’s Saturday evening victory over Fulham due to injury.

According to Arsenal reporter Kaya Kaynak, Zinchenko suffered a minor sprain to his left knee during Friday’s training session.

He was left out of the matchday squad against Fulham as a precaution and will be evaluated further.

Thomas Partey

Partey, like Zinchenko, had played in every Premier League game for Arsenal prior to the game against Fulham. He did, however, miss the Whites’ 2-1 victory due to injury.

Kaynak also stated that the Ghanaian has a tight right thigh from Friday’s training session, and that he will be evaluated further ahead of next week.

Reiss Nelson

According to Arteta, young winger Nelson suffered an injury in training last week and will be out for a significant amount of time.

The 22-year-old, who last played for Arsenal against Brentford a year ago, is Arteta’s only absentee.

What Arteta has said : “Everybody has trained this week and everybody is fine apart from Reiss who you know has been injured for a few weeks now.

“He felt something in training, we scanned him, and the doctor came with bad news. It’s a muscular injury; hopefully, he will be back soon. [We don’t know how long for] yet. They need to do another test.”
