Ole Gunnar Solskjaer paints what United needs to do after yet another trophy less campaign.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has explained his position on what the club needs to do after a disappointing campaign that extended the club wait for trophy following a dramatic loss to Villarreal in the Europa League final.
According to Manchester United’s Norwegian tactician, the club needs to sign “two or three players” in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils, despite going down in the hands of Villareal in the Europa League final last night, have arguably overachieved with thecurrent composition of their squad this campaign.
Particularly after surviving a slow start, few would have anticipated Man United to finish second in the Premier League table and join a European cup final – whatever the circumstances.\

While being second counts for zero, it does present a solid ground upon which Man United can build this season, and concluding by his comments post-match, Solskjaer already has an idea of what he’d like to bring in to do that building.
Speaking to the press in Gdansk, still wounded after submitting defeat on penalties, Solskjaer maintained that Man United need “two or three players” to take themselves another step further next campaign.
Man United were totally commanding in normal time against Villarreal so they had to favor their odds of diminishing the opponent and finding the winning goal.
What ensued was a strange refusal from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to make replacements which would’ve kept the team fresh and allowed them to keep driving for the winner, so it looked like he was content to risk Villarreal finding a winner in order to take the game to penalties.
Obviously, that came back to bite United in the most magnanimous way, and it’s fair to say that the supporters are skeptical with the approach from the manager.
