Noni Madueke reacts to Mauricio Pochettino reunion after leaving Spurs over lack of games

Noni Madueke is eagerly anticipating the chance to collaborate with Mauricio Pochettino, who will be taking over as the new manager at Chelsea. This comes despite the fact that Madueke departed Tottenham Hotspur, where Pochettino was previously in charge, due to a limited number of chances to showcase his abilities.

The announcement of Mauricio Pochettino as the new manager of Chelsea is imminent, scheduled to take place at the beginning of this week. Pochettino has officially signed a three-year contract, solidifying his position at the west London club.

His primary responsibility will be to address the issue of an excessively large squad, as the club’s new owners have invested approximately £600 million on new signings within the past year. Among these acquisitions is Noni Madueke, a promising young player who was brought in from PSV for a transfer fee of £28.5 million in January.

Despite previously working under Pochettino during his four-year tenure at Tottenham’s academy, 21-year-old Noni Madueke made the decision to depart due to the lack of a clear pathway into the first team and limited opportunities. However, Madueke’s perspective seems to have changed now, as he expresses enthusiasm about the possibility of collaborating with Pochettino once again.

When questioned about Pochettino’s imminent arrival at Stamford Bridge, Madueke shared his thoughts on Sunday: “I think he is a good manager.

“He has been in big places around the world and he was a great success in the Premier League. I am looking forward to working with and learning from him.”

When reflecting on the steps required to revitalize Chelsea after a disappointing season that culminated in a 12th-place finish, Madueke offered his insights: “Just cohesion and pulling in the right direction.

“I think next season we need to go back to basics.

“The new manager needs to come in and everyone needs to get behind him in training for him and Chelsea to be successful and there’s no reason why we can’t be with the talent in his squad.”

Speaking about his own first half-season at Chelsea, Madueke posted on social media: ‘Thank you Chelsea for making me feel at home from the very first minute.

‘Next season will be different. I’m certain. Success is non-negotiable and is what you guys deserve. Take care and see you guys at the Bridge soon.’
