“No one going to mention this” London journalist raises question after sharing footage of Everton controversy v Chelsea

Richarlison of Everton has been questioned by journalist Jack Rosser as he seems to toss a flare into the crowd during their match against Chelsea.

After putting the Toffees ahead in a crucial relegation struggle match, the Brazilian picked up a blue flare thrown into the pitch and fired it back into the stands.

Rosser, a journalist at the Evening Standard, tweeted about the incident.

Rosser posted a gif of the incident followed by: “No one going to mention this from Richarlison?”

Such incidents frequently polarize opinion among football fans.

In an era when most football clubs prioritize health and safety, having one of their biggest and most influential players throw a burning flare into the crowd isn’t the best look.

However, the problem must be viewed in context.

Richarlison has just scored a crucial goal that might significantly increase Everton’s survival chances.

He may have gotten a little carried away, but that’s understandable after scoring such a huge goal.

Regardless, the Brazilian will almost definitely face some type of repercussions for his misbehavior.

Pyrotechnics on football fields have been a common occurrence, which officials are attempting to curtail.

As much as flares are beautiful and add to the mood, these concerns are valid, as having a molten hot flare in the middle of a crowd is not the best idea.

The FA will likely contact the Brazilian in due course for some severe words.
