Football Insider’s sources have stated that Julian Nagelsmann might become Tottenham’s manager only if they qualify for the Champions League next season.

Tottenham has already dismissed Antonio Conte, and Christian Stellini and Ryan Mason have been put in charge for the rest of the current season.

Tottenham’s leadership has confidence in Stellini’s abilities and believes he can guide the team towards achieving their objective of finishing in the top four.

In the 2021-22 season, Conte managed to secure a fourth-place finish for Tottenham, beating out rival teams, including the current league leaders Arsenal. The club believes that playing in the Champions League is crucial in attracting top managerial candidates during the off-season.

Football Insider sources previously reported that Tottenham considers Julian Nagelsmann, who is 35 years old, as their top candidate for the managerial position over Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham’s star player, Harry Kane, is reportedly pleased with the news of Nagelsmann’s potential appointment and may be enticed to remain with the club if the German becomes the manager.

Nagelsmann was recently fired by Bayern Munich, despite having lost only 10 of his 84 games since joining the team in 2021.

He has previously employed an attacking 4-3-2-1 formation but has also achieved success with a three-man defense, which is similar to the system used by former Tottenham manager Conte.

Tottenham had attempted to hire Nagelsmann in 2021 after firing Jose Mourinho, but ultimately hired Nuno Espirito Santo, who had a brief tenure as the manager.

As the Premier League season heads towards its end, Tottenham currently holds fourth place, but they have played more games than their rivals for a top-four finish, such as Newcastle and Liverpool.
