‘Monster’ Liverpool player ‘put up for sale’ ahead of summer transfer window – report

According to Football Insider, Liverpool has made Nat Phillips available for transfer and will consider offers for the defender during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Despite being a popular figure among Liverpool fans, the 26-year-old has only played five games for the club this season.

Phillips was close to joining Galatasaray in January but the deal fell through due to injuries to other Liverpool defenders.

During the 2020/21 season, Nat Phillips, who wears the No. 47 for Liverpool, gained popularity along with Rhys Williams for their contribution to the team’s achievement of a top four finish despite facing several injury setbacks.

Although he was previously praised by manager Jurgen Klopp, who called him a “monster” in comments shared by TalkSPORT, Phillips is currently fifth choice among Liverpool’s central defenders, behind Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, and Joe Gomez.

While he has demonstrated his abilities and is capable of playing regular first-team football, it is unlikely that he will have that opportunity at Liverpool.

Liverpool is aiming to generate significant revenue from player sales during the upcoming summer transfer window to help finance the acquisition of their primary transfer target, Jude Bellingham, and potentially others.

Nat Phillips, who is an Academy graduate and has two years left on his current contract with Liverpool, could potentially bring in a substantial fee for the club.
