Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has been warned of the impending sack after his team drew 1-1 with Slavia Prague in the Europa League first leg quarte final at Emirates. Arsenal have failed to register a win in four consecutive games, with their last win coming against Tottenham on 14th March.
Arsenal lost the return Europa League round 16 return leg to Olympiacos at Emirates, before recording a 3-3 draw to Westham. They lost 3-0 to Liverpool at Emirates early this month, and the latest draw against Slavia completes a list of series of four consecutive winless streaks for Arteta men.
Arsenal legend Martin Keown has now warned Mikel Arteta of impending sack after his team disappointing draw against Slavia Prague.
Speaking to BT Sport in a post-match analysis, the former Gunner’s legend said:
“Hugely disappointing and really it’s going to be difficult now for Arteta,”
“He’s made a lot of changes at the football club, a lot of people have been allowed to go, and this is his team now, essentially.
“He’s in charge now, and he’s not quite getting the reaction out of the team. He’s encouraging people to play, then at the end when he doesn’t want them to play, it’s a mixed message, isn’t it?”

Martin Keown was also disappointed with Thomas Partey performance. Speaking about Thomas, Keown said:
“Partey, as well, tonight, was another player that really disappointed me,
“Watching it live here, he didn’t look like he had the legs to get around the pitch.
“He wasn’t really bossing that midfield, and credit to them, by the way, Slavia Prague because they’ve got lots of good players and made good substitutions.
“But that’s an area of the pitch that I would’ve thought by now, he would be bossing.”
On the other areas of the pitch, he said:
“I thought the left-hand side for Arsenal looked particularly weak until those changes were made,
“Willian, wasn’t really in the game. Cedric, he doesn’t give us that width without Kieran Tierney down that left-hand side.”
