Mikel Arteta spotted screaming in anger at three Arsenal players during win over Newcastle

During Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Newcastle United, Manager Mikel Arteta was seen shouting at three Arsenal players, according to a report from the Daily Mail.

The match was a heated affair between two teams vying for a spot in next season’s Champions League.

While Arsenal had already secured their place in the competition, Newcastle needed to earn nine points to ensure their return to the prestigious tournament.

Arsenal emerged as the winners, thanks to a goal from Martin Odegaard and an own goal from Fabian Schar. However, during the match, Mikel Arteta was dissatisfied with the performance of three players on the field.

Jorginho and Granit Xhaka received praise for their impressive performance in the midfield, which was considered intimidating by some.

Despite not delivering a performance up to their usual standards this season, Arsenal managed to secure a win in one of the most challenging stadiums to visit in the league, earning three valuable points.

Arteta furious with three Arsenal players yesterday

The report from the Daily Mail states that, ‘The fourth official, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Bukayo Saka, Ben White… barely anyone escaped an earful.

‘The Newcastle bench weren’t shy to voice their opinions, either. Thankfully, this time the two sides kept a peaceful distance apart.’

The match between Arsenal and Newcastle United earlier in the season, which took place at The Emirates, was also not a calm affair. Mikel Arteta is known for being an expressive coach on the sidelines and pushing his players to give their best.

During this match, Oleksandr Zinchenko’s performance was subpar, and Arteta substituted him after only an hour of play.

Bukayo Saka was also substituted, but it’s possible that Arteta’s frustration was not specifically aimed at him or Ben White, but rather their proximity to him on the wing at the time.

Nonetheless, once the match was over, Arteta would have been satisfied with the performance of his entire team, especially given the importance of securing three points to maintain the pressure on Manchester City.

Although it seems unlikely that Arsenal will be able to close the gap this season, they have made significant progress. Their success in the upcoming summer transfer window will determine whether they can continue to compete or if their competitors will catch up with them.
