Barcelona star Lionel Messi’s predictions have been proven right following the recent performances from Mason Mount and Phil Foden.
The two young English midfielders are continuously growing in stature by the game, and not only are they proving themselves in the Premier League, but they are now providing much big influence in the biggest games at the Champions League level.
Chelse’s Mason Mount suffered some criticism during Frank Lampard’s time in charge of The Blues, but since Thomas Tuchel took over the reins at Stamford, the midfielder has established himself to become an undroppable.
Mount’s latest powerful displays came in Chelsea’s Champions League semi-final draw against Spanish giants Real Madrid on Tuesday night when the Thoma Tuchel team managed to pick up a crucial away goal ahead of the second leg in the coming week.

While speaking about the best young prospects in Europe, The Argentine once said:
“Having watched him play he has the potential to be one of the best.”
His claims now prove to be true with Mount in remarkable form as Chelsea look to win their second Champions League title and a top-four finish.
Messi may also have been accurate regarding Manchester City midfielder and Mount’s England teammate Foden.
Foden played a starring role as Manchester City put together a remarkable display to beat PSG 2-1 away from home in their Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.
