Marcus Rashford’s crucial goal against Leeds on Wednesday night matched Wayne Rooney’s streak of scoring in consecutive Premier League home games for Manchester United.

The 25-year-old England forward scored just after the hour mark to spark the Red Devils’ comeback and salvage a point after trailing their old rivals 2-0 at home.

Rashford headed home superbly from Diogo Dalot’s cross eight minutes before substitute Jadon Sancho fired past Illan Meslier, following Wilfried Gnoto’s first-minute goal and Raphael Varane’s own-goal shortly after halftime.

In recent weeks, Rashford’s celebration, in which he places his index finger to his temple, has been frequently observed.

It has also caught on among his Premier League teammates, with Gnoto imitating his rival after scoring the game’s first goal on Wednesday.
