Manchester United supporters in frenzy as Edinson Cavani eclipses Thierry Henry’s record.
A collection of Manchester United supporters on Twitter were amused with Edinson Cavani, who was on the scoresheet in Uruguay’s 2-0 victory over Bolivia at Copa America.
The 34-year-old was in remarkable form during the final months of last season for Ole Gunnar man when he finished the campaign with 17 goals across all competitions.
Cavani lately went five international matches without finding the back of the net, and he ended the run with a close-range goal in the 79th minute against Bolivia.
With his goal last night, Cavani eclipsed Thierry Henry’s international record for France. He bagged his 52nd goal for his national team from his 121st cap.
He also produced an own goal from Jairo Quinteros before halftime, and some of the club’s fans were pleased with his performance.

He is still far off from the record for his country secured by compatriot Luis Suarez. Suarez, who partnered him against Bolivia, has 64 goals to his honor.
Uruguay concludes their group stage campaign against Paraguay on Monday. Cavani has the opportunity to go level with Wayne Rooney’s goal tally for England.
Oscar Tabarez’s side are currently fourth in Group A with four points, and they are almost assured their quarter-final spot in the competition.
They will hope to climb further up the table. A fourth-place finish would see them come up against tournament favorites Brazil in the next round.
