Manchester United superstar has already been ruled out with injury v Brentford
Christian Eriksen, who sustained an ankle injury during the FA Cup match against Reading in late January, will not have recovered in time to participate in Manchester United’s game against Brentford this week.Â
Despite his efforts to regain fitness, the Danish midfielder will not be able to face his former club at Old Trafford.
Eriksen won’t be back v Brentford
As per Manchester United’s official website, Christian Eriksen will not have the opportunity to make a triumphant return against his former team.
The website states that the Wednesday match will be too early for him to participate. Nonetheless, the update acknowledges that the player is recovering well from the injury.
In a recent update posted by Eriksen himself at the end of last month, he demonstrated that he is no longer wearing a walking boot and has resumed wearing football boots.
Despite his progress in recovery, there has been no visual evidence of Christian Eriksen joining his teammates in training sessions.
It is anticipated that Eriksen may return to the field around mid-April, which may coincide with the end of Casemiro’s suspension.
The two midfielders have not played together for Manchester United since January, and their return is expected to give the team a much-needed boost.
In the meantime, Manchester United will have to find a way to manage without Eriksen in the upcoming match against Brentford, who are expected to be challenging opponents.
