Manchester United exploring new playing position for Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United need to grow in several areas if they wish to fitly challenge for the Premier League title.

One of the most visible areas in need of improvement is central defense.

Harry Maguire is a solid defender and up there with some of the Premier League’s best on his day.

However, outside of Maguire, United’s options at center-half are not up to mark – something which has been made even more apparent during the Englishman’s recent spell on the sidelines.

Man United supporters are no doubt anticipating their side to dip into the market to help find a fit partner for Harry Maguire.

However, though that could still happen, it seems United may be examining another way of strengthening their center-back spot.

Since joining the Manchester powerhouse from Crystal Palace, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been one of United’s more regular players.

His expertise in the final third is possibly not as effective as other English right-backs, but he is very solid defensively.

And now, according to the Sun, the Red Devils are contemplating of using AWB at center-back.

It is reckoned that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is ardent to see Wan-Bissaka used in a central role during pre-season to find out if he could handle the position.

Given Wan-Bissaka is United’s only decent senior right-back, moving him to center-back may seem like an odd decision.

However, United have been considerably heavily associated with Kieran Tripper of late and his signing would of course then enable AWB to be used in a central role whilst Tripper fills the gap at right-back.
