Manchester United dream managerial hopeful named, but he’s more likely to end up at biggest opponents
According to reports, Julian Nagelsmann is the ideal prospect for Manchester United, although he is unlikely to join the club.
Ralf Rangnick was only chosen to coach the team until the end of the current season, and will remain behind the scenes until the club appoints a new manager the following year.
One Sky Sports source revealed: “In an ideal world, Julian Nagelsmann would walk into the club this summer,” however, he doesn’t seem to be keen to join an unstable club like Manchester United.
The current Bayer Munich manager is most likely to join Manchester City or Liverpool after Pep Guardiola or Jurgen Klopp go.
Understandably, a manager of Nagelsmann’s caliber would not want to join Manchester United in their current position, particularly when he is top of the Bundesliga and still in the Champions League.
Manchester United will look at more realistic options, such as Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag. Following recent outcomes, the former may be fired in the near future.
Ten Hag may be simpler to entice because Manchester United’s history and grandeur are such a draw.
Although this argument applies to other managers, Ten Hag has never managed in the top flight.
