Manchester United and Arsenal handed blow as Joao Felix next club choice emerge

Manchester United and Arsenal handed blow as Joao Felix next club choice emerge

Manchester United, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are all interested in signing Joao Felix, a standout forward for Atletico Madrid who is 23 years old.

However, the La Rojiblancos have set the player’s price at €100 million.

According to Get French Football News and Sky Italia, Felix’s destination is likely to be PSG.

Gianluca Di Marzio, as quoted by Soccer News (via  Mirror), stated: “I don’t think that Felix will go to Arsenal because he wants to play for PSG. PSG would be the obvious option should he leave Atletico Madrid.”

Felix joined Atletico Madrid from Benfica in 2019 for a staggering €126 million (£113 million). Although the Spanish club signed the Portugal international to a seven-year contract, his development has not been as anticipated.

To get his career back on track, 23-year-old Felix is apparently hoping to move to another major European club.

The Gunners want to add an attacker to their roster as they continue their Premier League title pursuit without Gabriel Jesus.

Manchester United and Cristiano Ronaldo mutually parted ways and  Erik ten Hag is also on the lookout for an attacker, with Ronaldo’s compatriot Felix at the top of his want list.

In the past, Atletico Madrid CEO Miguel Angel Gil Marin has intimated that the club would consider it if a suitable offer for Felix were presented. According to Get Spanish Football News, he stated:

“I would love him to continue, but the relationship between the coach and him, the minutes played, the motivation, the current moment, makes me think that the reasonable thing is that if there is a good option for the player, for the club, we will at least analyze it.”
