Manchester City's latest move to beat Man United and Chelsea for Harry Kane.

Manchester City are reportedly ready to offer both Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to Tottenham in a bid t acquire a bargain for Harry Kane.

As reported by The Sun, City are set to beat Manchester United and Chelsea to the signing of the England skipper.

Kane, who notified Tottenham of his wish to leave in order to win trophies, is estimated at around £150million.

City believes that by adding Sterling and Jesus as part of the agreement they would be able to bring the overall fee down.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is unwilling to sell Kane and is looking to bring back former manager Mauricio Pochettino in an effort to persuade the 27-year-old to stay.

However, it is still likely that Kane could leave, with City the club that he would most like to join given his passion to play with Kevin De Bruyne.

Sterling has had much success during his City career but grappled at times this summer despite scoring 14 goals.

Jesus, meanwhile, also scored 14 times this campaign, although he isn’t secured a regular place in the starting lineup for City, particularly given Pep Guardiola’s inclination to often field a side without a recognized striker.

This will come as a blow to Arsenal who have been linked with a move for Sterling ever since the departure rumors emerged.

Raheem Sterling has never made any secret of his respect for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.

And amid rumors that the Gunners are interested in the England winger with City reportedly open to selling the 26-year-old in the summer, his previous remarks about the Spaniard have become important again.

“[Arteta is] a person that had a lot of say here [at Man City]. The manager trusted him here and he had a lot of influence on the players here and the team as well,” Sterling said back in October.

“So I knew once he went into Arsenal that it would be a great opportunity for him but also he would definitely implement what he wanted to bring in.

“And he’s a person that will put his foot down and not let things slide as you can see with the boys at Arsenal. They know if they don’t run they are most likely not going to play.”
