Barcelona ‘to offer Man City two players’ in Cancelo swap deal.
Barcelona are eyeing a possible swap deal for Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo, reports claim.
However, according to journalist Duncan Castles, Barcelona are planning a move in the background.
He maintains that the Catalan giants are weighing up possibly including Ousmane Dembele and Sergi Roberto in a swap deal.
Roberto also plays at full-back and cover on both sides of defence.
It’s unclear whether they would be interested in entertaining offers to Cancelo at this stage, given his value to Guardiola.
Barcelona have tabled a proposal to sign Bernardo Silva
Castles also reports that Barca have tabled a bid to sign Bernardo Silva.
They face opposition from Atletico Madrid though as the La Liga champions look to strengthen.
Atleti are ready to send Saul Niguez the other way to the Etihad Stadium.
Bernardo ostensibly wants out of City, where he has been in and out of the team.
Having won it all domestically with the club, he is said to want to try something new.
The attacking midfielder still has over four years remaining on his current City deal though.
Manchester City set to make mega offer for Bundesliga superstar
According to a report from Calcio In Pillole, Manchester City are set to make an enormous offer of €110 million for Borussia Dortmund’s goal-machine Erling Haaland.
The Leeds-born star’s rich exploits in front of goal has also caught the eye of Chelsea, who are set to battle it out with Manchester City for the player’s signature, Calcio In Pillole claim.
However, it seems like Manchester City will be making the first significant step to acquire Haaland’s services. They are set to test Dortmund’s resolve with a €110 million offer; although, it looks very unlikely the Bundesliga club would accept City’s initial offer as their demands for the highly-rated talent remain higher.

Journalist makes huge claim about Man City’s race of Harry Kane.
A journalist and transfer expert Duncan Castles has alleged that Manchester City have already made an opening offer for Tottenham superstar Harry Kane.
With the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United all keen with a move for Kane, Sky Sports even claimed that the trio had already made contact with his representatives.
Duncan Castles said:
“I think he has got a lot of work to do in the transfer market and there are some big decisions to be made there, notably over Harry Kane who wants to leave. He has publicly stated he wants to leave.
“He is wanted by Manchester United, as reported a couple of weeks ago they have already started working on a contract and with Kane and ways they can assist him should he be forced to request a transfer. He is also wanted by Manchester City, my understanding is that there has already been an offer put in by Manchester City for Kane.”
Manchester City Nuno Mendes pursuit in dannger of collapsing as Madrid latest plans.
Manchester City’s pursuit of £52m Sporting Lisbon defender Nuno Mendes ‘is shelved until after Euro 2020’ but Real Madrid loom to swoop in and seize Portuguese starlet from under their nose.
The 18-year-old has been told by Portugal boss Fernando Santos that he must concentrate solely on helping his country progress in the tournament; and put his future to one side.
According to The Mirror City boss Pep Guardiola see Mendes as the solution to the club’s long standing issues at left-back.
The Sky Blues reopened talks with the young defender’s advisers in May, but have yet to trigger his £60.1 million release clause.
Manchester City’s £100m transfer plan to sign Jack Grealish
According to reports from ESPN, City are viewing to fund Grealish’s move by selling at least one of their high profile stas this summer.
The report alleges that City are looking to offload Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez to raise their transfer kitty.
Sterling, who has two years left on his deal with City, is not close to signing a new contract. The England forward could be allowed to move on.
Mahrez, who joined City in a £60 million transfer from Leicester City in 2018, has disappointed Pep Guardiola.
ESPN suggest that the 30-year-old’s future at the Etihad Stadium is not guaranteed.
Another player who could leave the club this summer is Aymeric Laporte. He is ready to move back to Spain after dropping down the pecking order behind Ruben Dias and John Stones.
The Premier League champions could raise more than £100m if Sterling, Mahrez and Laporte move on this summer, and it should be enough to fund a move for Grealish.
Man City told to sign Arsenal left-back
RThe former Celtic manager Neil Lennon suggesting that Gunners defender Keiran Tierney would fit in well at City.
Writing in the Times, Lennon explained the left-back as close to Liverpool’s Andy Robertson in terms of quality, implying he is ready made for playing in City’s possession-based style.
Lennon said: “When I had him at Celtic, Kieran was really confused about what to do in terms of leaving because the club meant so much to him. Ambition and finances meant he made the right call for his career.
“For me, he’s Arsenal’s best player. I could see him going to Manchester City, he’s got all the tools to play for them. He’s maybe not got the all-rounded left foot that Andy has, that natural whip, but he’s got everything else and he sees things. He’s so athletic and powerful.”
