Manchester City‘s full-back Joao Cancelo has reportedly arrived in Barcelona to complete his transfer to the Catalan club. This information comes from Jijantes, who have video evidence of the Portuguese defender at El Prat Airport, having flown in from Cascais.
Cancelo has been looking for a way out of Manchester City for several months, following a reported disagreement with Pep Guardiola during the previous season.
As a result, he spent the latter half of the season on loan at Bayern Munich. However, Bayern Munich chose not to exercise their option to purchase him, and he has now returned to the Etihad Stadium.
He has recently been in negotiations for a transfer to Barcelona, and this process has been ongoing for a while as they work on various financial aspects and make adjustments to their budget to finalize and officially approve the deal.
As of now, this situation remains unchanged, but according to Jijantes, Joao Cancelo has arrived in Barcelona today, following the footsteps of João Félix, who has also made the trip.
While they do not explicitly confirm that Cancelo will complete his move to the Nou Camp, there is a strong implication and a prevailing belief that the transfer from Manchester City will be concluded before tonight’s transfer deadline.
