Manchester City player has completed a move to another Premier League club
Gavin Bazunu, the goalkeeper for Manchester City, has joined Southampton for an undisclosed amount.
According to The Athletic, the agreement may be worth up to £15 million if add-ons are included.
Southampton worked quickly to replace Fraser Forster when he left the club to join Tottenham.
According to the report, Manchester City has a buy-back clause in his contract, which must demonstrate how highly regarded he is at the club.
Unfortunately for Bazunu, when you have a goalkeeper like Ederson in front of you, replacing him in the team will never be easy.
The 20-year-old, who has already represented his country ten times, spent last season on loan at Southampton’s main rivals, Portsmouth.
At Southampton, both Alex McCarthy and Fraser Forster failed to secure the number one job, and each spent time as the starting goalie.
Bringing in a young goalkeeper like Bazunu could be a wise option because he can compete with McCarthy and eventually replace him as he receives more experience.
