Manchester City planning a shock move for one of football’s most expensive players in history.
With just weeks to go until the transfer window formally resumes, this summer is now shaping up to be one of the most interesting in recent memory.
A number of the world’s biggest and most impressive talents have been associated with possible moves to the Premier League, notably Achraf Hakimi, Erling Braut Haaland, and Jadon Sancho.
Tottenham talisman Harry Kane has also been massively tipped for a move, with Manchester City believed to be his most likely destination.
Pep Guardiola’s side are also picks to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Haaland, however, it seems that they may have identified an option if they fail to secure either of their top priorities.
According to Eurosport, City are plotting a sensational move for Atletico Madrid’s Joao Felix, possibly offering Bernardo Silva as part of a player-plus-cash deal.

The 21-year-old, who joined Atleti from Benfica for a tremendous £113 million in 2019, has scored 19 goals in 79 appearances for the Spanish side and is currently representing Portugal at Euro 2020.
Silva could be used to lure Atletico into agreeing to sell his fellow countryman, with City reportedly free to the idea of selling the midfielder this summer to fund moves for Haaland and Kane.
It is understood that Silva is the most likely big-name to leave the Etihad this summer and that the player is keen on a move to La Liga.
City are yet to succeed record goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who left the club at the end of the season after a nine-year stay, before joining Barcelona on a free transfer.
Guardiola is keen to reinforce his attacking options after failing once again to win the Champions League with City, after a 1-0 loss to Chelsea in the final in May.
While City may be involved in Felix, it seems that Kane and Haaland remain their preferences and a move for Felix would only be likely if they fail to sign both players.
