Manchester City executes major Harry Kane’s decision.
Following the report that Manchester City have lodged a bid for Harry Kane, it is now being announced that Pep Guardiola is ready to wait for a year if a settlement cannot be done.
Sports Dias is aware that Daniel Levy does not plan to sell and Spurs are anticipated to decline the offer out of hand.
Nevertheless, ESPN report that Manchester City are willing to bide their time for a deal in the belief that the north Londoners will be under more pressure to sell next summer with Kane having just two years left on his deal.
Manchester City are ready to wait a year to sign their perfect striker if they cannot prise Harry Kane away from Tottenham Hotspur.
City have expressed an interest in Kane, who wants to depart Spurs this summer, along with Manchester United and Chelsea.
However, there is an agreement at the Etihad Stadium it will be a hard bargain to get over the line with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy esteeming the England captain at more than £150 million.

Kane also has three years left on his deal after signing a long-term extension in December 2016.
City boss Pep Guardiola and director of football Txiki Begiristain are keen to sign a striker following the exit of Sergio Aguero but there is also a determination that the squad would be able to cope if a new goalscorer does not report.
Aguero and Gabriel Jesus scored 20 goals between them in all competitions last term but Guardiola was still capable of guiding City to the Premier League title and a first Champions League final.
City needed a central midfielder in the summer of 2018 and a center-back in 2019 but in both cases waited 12 months before filling the gap in the squad. Midfielder Rodri reported from Atletico Madrid in 2019 and defender Ruben Dias was contracted from Benfica in 2020.
According to information from ESPN, if Kane does not move to City this summer, they would be expected to improve their interest next year when Tottenham would be under more pressure to cash in.
Erling Haaland would be another alternative if the Norway striker resolves to leave Borussia Dortmund ahead of the 2022-23 season.
Sources close to Kane hold the 27-year-old remains fully focused on England’s Euro 2020 campaign and does not anticipate any meaningful developments until after the tournament.
Tottenham remain in limbo just weeks away from the start of preseason training after failing to name a new manager in place of Jose Mourinho, who was fired in April.
