Manchester City and Chelsea offered £67.5m star by Mino Raiola
Manchester City and Chelsea are both reportedly interested in signing Juventus defender Matthijs De Ligt, with Mino Raiola reportedly offering him around.
According to Calciomercato , Raiola has already contacted both City and Chelsea about De Ligt, with the super-agent also contacting some of Europe’s other top clubs.
De Ligt joined Juventus in the summer of 2019 in a £67.5 million deal. Since then, he has established himself as a regular in Turin and is widely regarded as one of the best young defenders in the world.
This season, the 22-year-old has started six Serie A games and both Juve Champions League matches.
According to Calciomercato, De Ligt and Raiola are dissatisfied with how his career has progressed in Turin.
They claim that as a result of this, Raiola has begun shopping his client. According to reports, City, Chelsea, and Barcelona have all been contacted.
Juventus, on the other hand, will not sell on the cheap. That means the Italians will almost certainly demand the majority of the £67 million or so.
Man City may not need Matthijs De Ligt but Chelsea may need him.find him valuable.
That is entirely due to Thiago Silva’s age and the fact that Antonio Rudiger has yet to sign a new contract with the club.
There’s simply no reason for City to sign him right now. Stones, Dias, Ake, and Laporte are all on the team. De Ligt, then, would be a costly purchase that isn’t entirely necessary.
Of course, he’s a good player. However, at the moment, the Dutchman would be better suited to Chelsea rather than City.
