Man Utd the team to present the highest bid for midfield maestro – report
Manchester United’s pursuit of Frenkie De Jong is far from over.
According to the Spanish outlet Sport, the Red Devils are willing to make the most aggressive proposal for the Dutchman.
Barcelona is hesitant to sell, but will consider an offer of €80 million.
Erik ten Hag is rumoured to want to reunite with De Jong.

Ten Hag and Ajax had a fantastic relationship, and Ten Hag could make the Dutchman the focal point of United’s midfield.
From a football standpoint, this acquisition makes a lot of sense for Manchester United .
They are missing a midfield controller, someone who is comfortable in possession and can recycle the ball from deep.
De Jong is currently one of the most technically skilled footballers on the roster.
His quick feet, ability to get out of tight places, and good passing abilities make him an ideal match for United.
He would readily fit into Ten Hag’s style of play, having already played it.
It may be difficult to persuade him to join United, especially given the club’s failure to qualify for the Champions League.
Ten Hag could try to persuade De Jong to join his initiative, but it would be unreasonable to expect him not to consider more lucrative possibilities such as Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich.
