Man Utd set Marcus Rashford price tag as PSG and Real Madrid warned off move
Reports suggest that Manchester United has set a price tag of £120 million for Marcus Rashford, their key player, in an attempt to prevent interest from major clubs such as PSG and Real Madrid.
Rashford, who is currently 25 years old, has been in the best form of his career since returning to club action following the World Cup. However, his contract status has raised concerns about his long-term future with the club.
Marcus Rashford is having the best season of his career so far, having scored 22 goals in all competitions.
He is regarded as one of the most dangerous players in world football, and his recent man-of-the-match performance at the Camp Nou has increased interest from clubs like PSG and Real Madrid.
However, Manchester United is in a difficult situation as Rashford’s current contract expires in 2024, and talks are underway to extend it. If the two parties fail to reach an agreement, the club may have to sell him over the summer to avoid losing him for free in 18 months.
Nonetheless, United has placed a £120m price tag on him to avoid losing him for cheap, and the valuation has increased significantly over the past two months due to his impressive form.]
Marcus Rashford has been instrumental in Manchester United’s progress in four competitions this season, having scored 14 goals in his last 16 matches. However, his impressive form has led to some concerns that the team may be overly reliant on him. Nonetheless, Former Ajax and now United manager Erik ten Hag has been quick to dismiss such suggestions.
“He is so unstoppable at this moment, such a high belief for scoring goals, which we are happy with of course,” he said when asked about Rashford following the 2-2 draw with Barcelona. “But credit to the team as they get him every time in the right position.
“As I said before, we have other players who can score – Bruno, Jadon can score as well. Wout, of course, and they will score.
“In the end, it doesn’t matter who scores but we have to score, as you say, in such a game when you create five, six or seven 100 per cent chances. You have to finish them more than that so it’s quite clear.”
The future of Marcus Rashford is still uncertain, and it is unclear whether he will stay at Manchester United in the long term. However, the fans of the club are eager for him to remain with them.
