Man Utd ‘ ready to sanction £90m bid for Harry Kane’ with the Glazer family ‘keen to dampen resentment from supporters by landing the Tottenham forward this summer’

The Red Devils are set to lodge a £90million bid for Tottenham striker Harry Kane this summer in the hope this new signing will dismiss resentment towards the Glazer family’s ownership, according to reports.

United fans have been discharging their anger towards the Americans in
recent weeks, with disappointment boiling over on Sunday as protests turned violent before their home game against Liverpool – with a section of supporters pushing their way inside Old Trafford and setting off flares and smoke bombs.

The match was later postponed after the occurrence, and the Manchester United faithful are fixed that Joel and Avram Glazer should both sell the club after their embroilment in the European Super League fiasco sparked a series of criticism.

But now the Glazers are planning a move for talisman Harry Kane to calm things down, as reported by the Sun, with Ole Gunnar side keen to present an official offer should the Spurs forward hand in a transfer request.

Kane has been heavily linked with a move away from north London this summer after another frustrating season saw Tottenham quickly slide away from the title race, knocked out of the FA Cup and Europa League and lose to Man City in the Carabao Cup final.

He has delivered an arguably his best season in a Spurs shirt – leading the Premier League scoring table with 21 goals as well as the assists chart with 13 this season.

But the 28-year-old English international will be desirous to add some silverware to his glistening career so far after indicating his desire to win ‘team trophies’ and not just individual awards.

Kane would be keen in a move to Man United, the report adds, with the England international on top of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’stransfer list as he seeks a world-class forward to win him titles – although Spurs chief Daniel Levy is adamant that he will not sell his valuable asset to a Premier League rival.

It will hinge on whether Kane tells Levy he wants an exit from the club, it goes on, saying Spurs may be pushed into allowing a big offer to allow them to reinvest in the squad given the tough financial climate.

Kane has been composed at Spurs , with his patience at the club extending seven years period with the club since making his breakthrough in 2014 – and developing as one of the top strikers in world football during the same period.

To proof his ability, he was the 2018 World Cup top scorer at has managed two Premier League golden boots by his name, but last month he acknowledged disappointment that the club weren’t able to meet his desire for trophies.

“When I look back at the end of my career, these are all the things I’ll go over and take in a little bit more, but the goal right now as a player is to win team trophies,” he said after winning player of the year at the London Football Awards.

“As much as this is great, I want to be winning the biggest team prizes.

“We’re not quite doing that. It’s bittersweet, but it is what it is.

“I’m proud to win [Premier League Player of the Year], it’s been a good season on the pitch.”
