Man Utd chief John Murtough could sign three players today ahead of 11pm transfer deadline

Manchester United  manager Erik ten Hag stated that the club’s transfer business for the summer is complete.

However, this may not always be the case.

It is feasible that John Murtough will make as many as three signings before the transfer market closes tonight, given the appropriate opportunities.

Manchester United have enjoyed a successful transfer window thus far, despite their obvious difficulties in shedding unwanted players.

Tyrell Malacia was the first player to arrive, signing from Feyenoord after earlier seemed likely to sign with Lyon.

Christian Eriksen then joined Manchester United on a free transfer, completing his brief stint at Brentford.

United’s third addition was former Ajax player Lisandro Martinez, who turned down Arsenal’s offer to play under Ten Hag again.

Casemiro then joined Manchester United from Real Madrid, and the Red Devils have also agreed to terms with Antony. Martin Dubravka is also expected to arrive from Newcastle.

Therefore, SportsDias will examine three potential signings Murtough might make to make the transfer window even more fruitful.

A Right-back

Ten Hag announced on Friday that Aaron Wan-Bissaka will remain with the club.

However, the 52-year-old believes that the former Crystal Palace striker is not talented enough to join his team.

United will accept an offer that is too good to refuse, should a suitor make one. Therefore, the arrival of a new right-back is not completely out of the question.

Sergino Dest has been extensively linked with a move to Old Trafford despite the uncertainty surrounding his future at Barcelona.

A reunion between Ten Hag and the United States national team at Ajax may be beneficial for all sides.

A central midfielder

Even though Manchester United has bought Casemiro, fans would argue that they need another midfielder.

Especially in light of the decision to trade James Garner, who will be playing for Everton this season after a £15 million deal was agreed upon.

United would go all out for Frenkie de Jong if he indicated a willingness to join the club.

Nevertheless, it’s a long shot. A colossal long shot.

United could yet consider other options, since they appear to be a man short now that Garner has been transferred.

A striker

This will likely depend on Cristiano Ronaldo’s status.

Ten Hag has asserted that the Portugal international will remain, and all indications now point in that direction.

The Red Devils could agree to split ways with the Portugal international if a Champions League team made a substantial offer for both the player and the club.

Then, and only then, could United pursue a new striker.

However, this is unlikely to be Memphis Depay, as the Netherlands international is expected to remain at Barcelona until at least January.

Previous years’ United’s deadline day

United announced Ronaldo’s return from Juventus, following a 12-year absence, in the summer of 2017; Ronaldo had been with Juventus since 2003.

The Red Devils have been busy on the final day of the summer transfer window in recent seasons.

Edinson Cavani and Facundo Pellistri were acquired by PSG two years ago, while Manchester United acquired Anthony Martial and Radamel Falcao on the final day of the transfer window in 2015 and 2014, respectively.

Under the direction of Sir Alex Ferguson, the Red Devils were rarely tardy.

In 2008, however, they made an exception for Dimitar Berbatov, who joined the club from Tottenham after rejecting a deal to Manchester City.
