Man United extend contracts of four players by triggering clauses

United have triggered clauses in the contracts of four players to extend their contracts by one year.

Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United  has a distinct style of play. Undoubtedly, the Old Trafford club is moving in a new path.

Gradually, this roster will be filled with players with whom Ten Hag is satisfied. He will seek to retain some players in order to create the foundations, a process that is now well advanced.

As the club continues to evolve, significant changes have been made . According to The Athletic, United have extended the contracts of four players, triggering one-year extensions in their existing contracts.

Diogo Dalot, Marcus Rashford, Luke Shaw, and Fred are these players.

Without a doubt, the club’s long-term objective is to sign these individuals to permanent contracts, but this is easier said than done considering the recent World Cup.

It has already been reported that the team is in negotiations with Dalot, who has developed into a premier right back this season. He is currently one of the club’s top priorities.

Rashford is yet another asset that Old Trafford would do anything to safeguard. The Englishman on a free transfer would be a steal for any team. It depends on where his heart and mind are at the moment. Hopefully, he desires to remain.

Shaw, like Dalot, is the club’s first-choice fullback after overcoming significant injury concerns. The healthy competition he has with Tyrell Malacia for playing time will only benefit them both. He continues to improve from year to year.

Then there is Fred. As a rotational option, there are unquestionably worse players to have around the squad than him. United are clearly within their rights to preserve their asset, however a new long-term deal may not be necessary for the Brazilian. In any case, he did cost over £50 million.
