Man United drops surprising Cristiano Ronaldo return pointer.
Manchester United could be philandering with the plan of a possible Cristiano Ronaldo comeback.
While Ronaldo has been busy getting goals for Portugal in this year’s UEFA Euros, one of his former clubs–Manchester United seems to be tantalizing about his potential return.
After Manchester United’s official Instagram account lately posted two photos of Ronaldo on its feed in one day, supporters were instantly sent into a frenzy and began theorizing about the Portuguese striker’s return to Old Trafford.
“The fact that they post more things about CR7 lately should mean something more,” a fan commented.
“Stop teasing us and bring him home,” another fan wrote.
Addressing his future amid continually being connected to transfer rumors this summer, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner maintained that none of the said talks bothers him at this stage of his career.

For Ronaldo, the only thing certain about his future is that it will be “for the best.”
“I have been playing at the highest level for many years, this doesn’t faze me,” Ronaldo said at a Portugal Euro 2020 press conference when asked about his future. “Maybe if I was 18 or 19 I might have had some sleepless nights, but I’m 36. Whatever comes will be for the best, regardless of staying at Juve [Juventus] or being transferred.”
“The crucial thing now is the Euros, it is my fifth Euros, but for me, it’s like my first Euros,” he added. “We want to play a good match with good thoughts from the first to the last match.”
Should Ronaldo reflect a return to Manchester United, his former teammate and current Red Devils manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be gratified to have him on his squad.
“There are a few players I’ve played with that I’d love to have in my team, of course,” Solskjaer said in March. “I’d love the player Roy Keane, I’m not sure if I could manage him though!”
“I’d sign him every day of the week, Roy was so influential but then again, I played with Cristiano [Ronaldo] and he’s been the best player in the world alongside [Lionel] Messi for the past 10 to 15 years now, so Cristiano,” he continued. “You’d take him in your team, for sure.”
Ronaldo played six of his fruitful years with Manchester United. During his time with the Red Devils, he achieved to notch a whopping 118 goals across all competitions.
It was also at Manchester United where Ronaldo won his first Ballon d’Or as well as three English Premier League titles, two League Cups and a Champions League trophy.
