Man City’s unbeatable XI if they defeat Liverpool to Jude Bellingham and sign one more star

Man City’s unbeatable XI if they defeat Liverpool to Jude Bellingham and sign one more star

Manchester City is in good shape to win a record-tying third consecutive Premier League title and is once again the favorite to win their maiden Champions League title.

Pep Guardiola will continue to bolster his squad, and two more signings in 2023 could make Manchester City unstoppable.

SportsDias explains how Guardiola could line up if the Blues win the battle for Jude Bellingham next summer and fend off suitors for another linked player in January.

Goalkeeper – Ederson

Ederson has contributed to City’s transformation since his £35 million transfer from Benfica in 2017 and is unlikely to leave in the near future.

This season, the 29-year-old is vying for his fourth consecutive Premier League Golden Glove and solidifying his legacy as one of the league’s greatest goalkeepers.

Defence – Cancelo, Dias, Stones, GRIMALDO

As Kyle Walker’s injury issues worsen, Guardiola may decide to make Joao Cancelo his starting right-back at the Etihad Stadium next season and invest in a new left-back.

Enter Alex Grimaldo. The Benfica star’s contract expires at the end of the season.

Reportedly, Manchester City has joined Arsenal and Barcelona in their pursuit of a free transfer next summer or a bargain deal in January.

And there are few more formidable center-back partnerships in Europe than Ruben Dias and John Stones’ when both players are fit.

Midfield – Rodri, De Bruyne, BELLINGHAM

According to the Mail, those close to the situation believe that when Jude Bellingham leaves Borussia Dortmund, he will choose Manchester City over Liverpool and Manchester United.

The England international is one of Europe’s brightest young talents and would add depth to a midfield that is already stacked with stars.

He would operate alongside Kevin De Bruyne, arguably the best midfielder in Europe, with Rodri serving as the anchor behind them. Guardiola’s recruitment of Bellingham would likely ensure that City’s dominance continues.

Attack – Bernardo, Foden, Haaland

If he commits to the club, Bernardo Silva has the ability to serve as City’s starting right winger in a left-footed attack.

Alongside him would be Phil Foden on the left and Erling Haaland up front, two young stars who, along with Bellingham, are among the game’s elite.

Haaland could become even more productive if Guardiola adds the 19-year-old midfielder to his roster.

In addition, the Catalan manager could call upon Aymeric Laporte, Ilkay Gundogan, Riyad Mahrez, Jack Grealish, and Julian Alvarez from the bench.
